  Dilian's Fabrics and Sewing is a great escape from the box stores, as far as prices-per-yard. This is especially if you need alot of one type of fabric (like making a backdrop or doing long jackets). There is a big selection of felt fabrics and cotton/linens. This store has moved into the larger shop rental space (next door).
  Felt fabrics are still in abundance this summer and there were about 4 large shelves for some of the more unique fabrics.
  
  This place has always had very precursory interaction from the shop staff, possibly due to the language barrier. Yes, the older lady definitely does not really speak much and remains behind the counter, seeming "busy" every time I have ever come in there.On this visit, their younger male clerk seemed to have no such problem in communicating and was helpful.
